Hello,

I found a link to this community when reading Ken Wilber's blog, and here I am looking forward to getting connected with you who share a vision of personal/social transformation, healing, empowerment, and unity in diversity.

I'm a doctoral student currently working on a dissertation research proposal that involves Psychology, feminism, Buddhism, forgiveness, well-being, quantitative-qualitative mixed-methods study, and Integral Model.

Before I wanted to be a psychologist/healer, I wanted to be a translator. This year I started to actively advertise myself, and I'm enjoying more freelance job opportunities. Then I realize that I've been trying to be a translator in many ways….to communicate not only between languages, but also between cultures, religious/spiritual traditions, academic disciplines, research methodologies, etc.

I'm native Japanese originally from Osaka, have lived in Scotland and Minnesota, and now live in Kentucky. 

In Scotland, I made my childhood dream come true….living in Britain as a foreign exchange student. Ten years later, I was told by a psychic in New Orleans that my unexplained longing for Britain had something to do with one of my past lives.

In Minnesota, I earned a master's degree in Women's Studies while living in a dorm run by Catholic sisters. After experiencing the “life-threatening” cold weather, I was convinced that I could survive anywhere in the United States.

In Kentucky….a lot of things have happened since I arrived in 1999….here are two most personally important things. In fall 2001, I met my feathered companion (a cockatiel male) at a local pet store, and we've developed an incredibly loving bond. In fall 2004, I met my soulmate (a human male) at a local Buddhist temple, and we've been happily married for a year. And three of us plan to move together to wherever I get an internship position.

Well, this must cover many of my past experiences, current interests, and where I spend most of my time and energy lately. Hope it helps us to meet.

Oh, the list of my love is too long to complete right now. I'll keep adding.
